Let your car warm up before you drive. This will help the oil and transmission fluids warm up, move and lubricate parts, preventing unnecessary wear and tear. It only takes a few minutes and can reduce the chance of your transmission locking up while driving. 


Check your transmission fluid levels and oil levels regularly and make sure that you are using the correct oil for either manual or automatic transmission. 


A transmission fluid flush is recommended every 30,000 miles.

Inability to switch gears
